Final project for Demo Reel 1 at Gnomon
I built a fully procedural- and artist friendly river flow system. Distance fields are very powerful and I really enjoyed building this with them.
This is a real location called Angel's Landing in Zion National Park, Utah.
I used speedtree for the large foliage- making the small foliage by hand with a custom vertex world position offset "wind" shader.
The landscape is originally sourced from USGS survey data which I took into World Machine and Geoglyph to erode and enhance.
